The Christian faith believes in the resurrection of the body and eternal life. Just as our Lord died and was given a new resurrection body, so shall we be given new bodies in the resurrection on the last day. For the Christian Faith, the particular mode of burial is unimportant, as long as what remains is treated with the dignity and respect it deserves as part of God’s created order that has served its purpose. Whether we bury or cremate a body, it passes from our sight. But it can never pass from God’s sight. Our beloved departed are in God’s care, in death as in life, whatever disposition is made of their mortal bodies.

“Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
